What If You Did The Opposite?

What would happen if you decided to do the opposite?

Thinking of launching a “realistic” business? -> What if you launched an unrealistic one instead? After all, “realistic” is crowded.

Trying to improve fitness by going to the gym, when you hate the gym? -> Remove something at home that promotes fitness (i.e. swap a normal chair for a treadmill desk) or take each virtual meeting walking.

Continuously arguing with your partner, speaking over each other? -> Start by saying you want to listen to her/him completely before responding, and mean it, because maybe the act of listening will deal with “the problem” itself.

Work where you have to call people and typically call between 8am and 5pm? -> Call between 7am – 8am or 5pm and 6pm, and see just what results you get. Don’t be surprised if you get through to a lot more people.

Trying to write your blog, launch your podcast, work on your start-up and starting a small family? -> What if you focused on just one thing instead?

Trying yet another diet to lose weight, for the 100th time? -> What if you made yourself have an all out binge week where you shoved as much food in your mouth as you possibly could do, each day? What would the outcome at the end of the week be, psychologically?

Not sure which career path to go down and don’t want to commit to a 5 year job? -> What if you worked for free for your ideal employer for 1 month?

Not sure what your ideal morals/ethics are? -> Why don’t you spend a week living as if you have no morals or ethics, and see what natural blockers arise to prevent you from doing things?
